Speaking to Doctor Who Magazine, David Tennant suggested a production company bidding for the BBC’s Doctor Who tender might try to entice the broadcaster by attaching a “shiny” star to its pitch. He stressed he wasn’t hinting at insider knowledge, but said whoever wins the tender should feel free to reinterpret the show rather than being “hidebound by expectations of what came before.”
