Speaking at the Edinburgh TV Festival, Prime Video’s senior UK scripted commissioner Oliver Jones said the streamer would “welcome any conversations” about Doctor Who as the BBC prepares to put the show out to competitive tender. Jones and Amazon MGM Studios’ London-based VP Nicole Clemens also discussed plans to significantly increase UK programming spend, adding fuel to speculation about who might pitch to produce the show’s next era.
