Summary

Fresh from a chaotic regeneration, the newly minted Eleventh Doctor crash-lands the TARDIS in the garden of young Amelia Pond, a lonely Scottish girl who feeds him fish custard while he investigates a crack in her bedroom wall that has let something escape its prison. Promising to return in five minutes, the Doctor is instead pulled away for twelve years, reuniting with an adult Amy on the eve of her wedding just as the escaped alien, Prisoner Zero, and the Atraxi charged with recapturing it threaten to incinerate the entire planet.

Interesting Facts

  • This was the first Doctor Who episode broadcast after Steven Moffat took over as showrunner from Russell T Davies.
