Summary
Investigating a reputedly haunted manor house in 1974, the Doctor and Clara join a professional ghost hunter and his empathic assistant tracking a spectral figure known as the Witch of the Well. What first appears to be a classic ghost story instead unravels into a tale about a creature trapped between dimensions and a love story decades in the making between the house’s two investigators.
