Summary
In the concluding chapter of the “Flux” saga, the Doctor and her scattered allies race to stop the Master’s endgame and reverse the universe-threatening effects of the Flux once and for all, converging every major plot thread—Division’s true agenda, the Sontaran invasion, Vinder and Bel’s long journey toward reunion, and the Master’s manipulations—into a single climactic confrontation that resolves the season’s serialized mystery and restores the fractured universe.

- The episode continues Chris Chibnall’s singular authorship of the entire season, a rarity for the modern series’ typical multi-writer structure.
- Sacha Dhawan’s Master receives a significant final confrontation and resolution to his season-long, Division-connected scheme.
- Following this finale, the show moved to a reduced-output model of standalone specials throughout 2022 rather than a traditional full subsequent series.
