Summary
A sinister, god-like entity called the Toymaker, who has secretly manipulated human history for centuries through toys and games, resurfaces to challenge the Doctor to a lethal game with reality itself as the stakes, and after a climactic confrontation the Doctor undergoes an unprecedented “bi-generation,” splitting into two simultaneous, fully independent incarnations—allowing David Tennant’s Fourteenth Doctor to remain behind to heal alongside Donna’s family while Ncuti Gatwa’s Fifteenth Doctor departs to continue traveling in the TARDIS.
