Summary
Investigating a wave of ghostly apparitions appearing simultaneously across the globe, the Doctor and Rose trace the phenomenon to the secretive Torchwood Institute, a organization dedicated to defending Britain against alien threats using recovered alien technology. As Torchwood’s ambitious plans to fully open a dimensional breach threaten to unleash something far more dangerous than ghosts, the Doctor recognizes with mounting dread the true, catastrophic nature of what is about to be unleashed.
