Summary
Told largely from the perspective of Elton Pope, an ordinary Londoner whose life has been touched by the Doctor since childhood, the story follows an amateur group formed to investigate strange occurrences who unwittingly attract the attention of a sinister figure calling himself Victor Kennedy. As group members mysteriously start disappearing, Elton discovers that Kennedy is in fact the Abzorbaloff, an alien capable of absorbing other beings into his own body, and must find a way to stop him before more of his newfound friends are consumed.
