Summary
Millions of small, inert black cubes mysteriously appear all over Earth overnight, prompting a rare stretch of the Doctor actually staying put with Amy and Rory to investigate, alongside a slower-paced glimpse into their ordinary domestic lives together. As the cubes eventually activate all at once with lethal intent, UNIT, now led by Kate Stewart, and the Doctor race to stop a hidden alien invasion feeding on humanity’s own heartbeats.
